One of my favorite pieces!!!
The Jefferson City Buzzards are the oldest marching Krewe est. 1890. When this picture was taken, they were marching up Napoleon Ave. on Mardi Gras Day. When they knew I had painted this piece, they were so grateful to me and my mom (my art assistant at the time), and invited us to all their functions for years! I had made giclees of the original artwork, but sadly lost many to the fire in my art studio in 2002.
